Omarchy Auto (the Android app and this website) is made by Three Layer Brands. We collect as little as we can.

Website signups

If you join the tester list, we store your email and the phone type you pick (optional). We use them only to invite you to testing and send updates about the app. There are no cookies, analytics or third-party trackers on this site. The data is stored in Cloudflare (our host).

The app

Crash reports. If the app crashes, it sends a report to our own server at omarchyauto.com: when it happened, the app version, device maker and model, Android version, the Android Auto host app and its version, and the error and stack trace. It does not include your name, email, location, notifications or contacts. To limit abuse, we keep a salted hash of your IP address for up to one hour. We don't store your raw IP address.
Location. Location is used on your device to center the map. Map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap (openfreemap.org), which sees your IP address and the map area being requested. We don't receive or store your location.
Notifications. If you grant notification access, the Comms tile shows recent notifications from the apps you allow. They stay on your device, are kept in memory only (up to eight at a time), and are never logged, saved or sent anywhere. OTP codes, banking and wallet apps, and sensitive notifications are filtered out.
Settings and backgrounds (theme, allow-list, your chosen background image) are stored only on your device.
No ads, analytics, advertising IDs or third-party SDKs that track you.

Sharing

We never sell or share your data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes it for us.

Retention and deletion

Signup emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or testing ends. Crash reports are kept as long as they're useful for fixing bugs. To delete your data, email [email protected].

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13.
